Your makeup should never precede you,
but walk with you.

We all know that this is the time of year when we crawl out of our bat caves and come face-to-face with real people (or is that just me?). For some, this may be an opportunity to show off some of the amazing skills you have acquired from watching YouTube videos and scrolling through Instagram.
I have picked some of my favourite drugstore beauty products to share with you. These can be used to really spruce up your holiday look, especially if you’re on a budget.
Rimmel Magnif’eyes is one of my new favourite eyeshadow palettes. I bought it from Clicks for under R200 and the quality is absolutely amazing. There are eight shades, including matte and shimmer, light and dark. If I am not mistaken, there are three versions of this palette with different colours in each.
Essence Luminizer Palette is to die for! This is by far my all time favourite Essence product and it is well worth your money. Don’t fret either because this retails at Dischem for under R100! No, I am not kidding you. Not one bit.
Essence The Little X-Mas Factory Contouring Palette is so adorable. This is a budget-friendly contouring palette that does what it needs to do. However, I am unsure if this will have the same effect on darker skin tones. Part of Essence’s festive trend edition, The Little X-Mas Factory, this contouring palette is one of the two items I picked up and you can read all about it on Blogmas Day 6.
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor (HD Passion) is a beautiful red that would be perfect for Christmas. It is the darker of the two lipsticks featured, and it is the third from the left swatch in the image below. I bought mine from Clicks for under R200.
Rimmel Kate Moss Collection (Muse Red) is just the perfect Christmas red! It is the last swatch in the image below. This lipstick is just a few cents under R100, but it is totally worth it. I am crazy about the Kate Moss lipsticks and I look forward to adding more to my collection. The packaging of this one is also so pretty! You can pick this up at both Clicks and Dischem.
Of course this is not everything as I haven’t included mascara and other makeup. Don’t forget the rest!
What are your must-haves for the holiday season?
