I sometimes think we expect too much of Christmas Day.We try to crowd into it the long arrears of kindliness and humanity of the whole year.As for me, I like to take my Christmas a little at a time, all through the year. And thus I drift along into the holidays- let them overtake me unexpectedly- waking up some fine morning and suddenly saying to myself:‘Why, this is Christmas Day!’– David Grayson
It’s now the season for giving and forgiving, a time to reflect back on the year that has passed and for preparing your game plan for the new year to come. Some of these things are limited to only one day of the year: Christmas Day. We don’t take our Christmas a little at a time throughout the year, but it’s not too late to start! December has only just begun!
Never think that you don’t have something to give. A phone call, an anonymous gift or even making yourself a cup of hot chocolate- there is always a way to make life a little bit more special.
I created this easy-to-use December bucket list that you can use as a guideline this December. It consists of activities that will make you, your loved ones and strangers happy. After all, that’s what life is all about.
Tick off one activity each day this month and you’re bound to feel some festive cheer!
What are you waiting for? Let’s get those jingle bells ringing!
Let’s take the commercialism out of Christmas this year and bring back that Christmas spirit!stimulate
